Buddies

When children start school in Reception they will have a Year 6 Buddy to help them settle into school. Reception children normally meet their Year 6 Buddy in the Summer term before starting school. The Year 6 children put together a film in which they introduce themselves and explain exactly what our school is like!

Year 6 Buddies help the Reception children in many different ways:
A role model for behaviour around school
A familiar face to play with at break times
Someone to help teach lunch time routines
A friend in the same house who will encourage you to gain house points
Someone to help you know where to sit in assembly
Someone to speak to if you feel worried
