We are a class of year 5 and year 6 children.
Our teacher is Mrs Halling and our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Bowen..
Mrs Leggett takes us for P.E.

Summer Term
Our topic this term is Tudors. 

English and Maths homework are set on  Wednesday to be handed in by the following  Wednesday. Sometimes the children will also have topic or science homework set on a Monday to be handed in on Friday.

PGL Hillcrest 2018

At the beginning of term, Owls class enjoyed a three day trip to PGL, Hillcrest, near Ross-on-Wye.

On Friday 1st December, Owls walked up the Herefordshire Beacon and found Clutter's cave.

Year 6 Abbey Leavers Service

The Year 6s took park in the Tewkesbury Leavers Service in the Abbey on Thursday 14th July. They performed really well and were a credit to the school. Well done year 6s.

Medieval Festival Schools Day 2016

Owls class took part in the 2016 Medieval Festival Schools Day which was great fun. We even had a mock battle against the re-enactors!

Medieval parade 2016

Some of the children in Owls class took part in the Medieval Festival parade on Sunday 10th July. We paraded with the willow models we have been making in school - Ed the Knight and Ned the Horse. We were also joined by Boris the bear, who we made last year! There are also photos of us making the models, which was great fun!

Small Schools Rounders

The Rounders team came second in the District Small Schools rounders tournament. Well done to those children in Owls class who were on the team. We are very proud of you!


The year 5 children visited SKILLZONE in Gloucester to learn all about safety.

Indoor Athletics 2016

A team of Year 5 and 6 children took part in the Inter School Indoor Athletics competition at Tewkesbury School. We had a great time...and we won!

Tag Rugby tournament

We took part in the inter-schools Tag Rugby tournament on 19th April. Between 40 and 50 teams took part. We played really well, and were very proud to win the Fairplay Award! We came 4th in our group.

KNEX control technology fairground day

OWLS class enjoyed a day of designing, problem-solving and creating motorised fairground rides. They used computer skills to control the rides, with added music and lights.

World Book Day 2016

Owls class dressed up as characters from the Narnia books.

Year 6 French Breakfast

Year 6 had a French Breakfast on the 19th January. We had le chocolat chaud in a bowl, un croissant, un pain au chocolat, une tartine, de la confiture, du beurre, du jus d'orange et une brioche. We spoke French and had lots of fun. Merci Mme Walder, Mme O'Dell, Mme Chatron-Michaud et Mme Bowen. From Toby. Owls Class.

K'NEX Challenge 2015/16

Owls class took part in the annual K'NEX Challenge. Their brief was to design and create a bridge that lifted or raised in some way to allow tall ships to pass underneath. The Children worked in teams. Well done to everybody, and thank you to Mrs Follis and the GE Aviation apprentices for leading and judging the competition. The winners were Toby and Piers who go through to the next round. Good luck boys!

Bread Making

The Owls have been making bread as part of their science topic.

Years 5 and 6 have enjoyed a fantastic few days away at Hillcrest PGL. Here are some of our photos.

Medieval Festival

On 10th July Owls took part in the Children's Battle as part of the Medieval Festival. We had a fantastic day, all be it a bit hot but at least we weren't in full armour like the re-enactors!

Extreme Earth

The Owls have been learning about volcanoes and the Earth. Year 5 have made 3D models of Earth using Playdoh. Freya and Neve made a volcano in their spare time, and the class watched it erupt!

World Book Day

The Year 5 Owls' visit to Skillzone.

The Year 5 Owls have visited Skillzone in Gloucester, where they experienced hands-on activities to help them learn about their personal safety.

The Year 5 Owls' visit to Tewkesbury School

The Year 5s have been to Tewkesbury School for a "taster day". They participated in a variety of lessons - PE, Science, Spanish and PSHCE. Here are some of our photos.

Tudor House visit 2016

Owls class visited the Merchant's House, The Old Baptist Chapel and John Moore Museum in Tewkesbury as part of our Tudors topic. We really enjoyed our day, and learned a lot about the Tudor people, and their way of life.
